Your jeans need to be folded tightly in order to create a Candy Drawer. The main idea behind folding your jeans is that you try to create rectangular shapes in order to create a tight little package. Think of it as an archive drawer; you can just slide right through your options. The garments are stored back-to-back, not on top of each other. So the middle of the garment is facing up.

Folding jeans

Folding jeans is quite simple and slightly different from how they are often folded in stores.

  1. Fold the two legs together, with the front pockets on the inside.
  2.  a. The Japanese way:  first fold the crotch inside, so you create a long rectangular shape. (You can skip this part, go to 2b)
    b. Fold the hem almost all the way to the top – to the back yoke part (about 5 cm below the top waistband).
  3. For the last bit you fold in three parts, like a letter – folding the waistband down first and the bottom to cover.

It’s almost like a book, where you show the narrow side of the cover.

Thank you for reading.
