Clothes hold stories. They’ve been worn, lived in, loved (or abandoned), stitched by human hands, and made from resources that took time and energy to create. My work gives those stories a second life—transforming old garments, sentimental textiles, and even forgotten fashion magazines into one-of-a-kind artworks.
As a fashion designer turned textile artist, I don’t just see fabric; I see history. A worn button, a frayed hem, the curve of a fly—these details deserve to be honored, not discarded. Unlike traditional quilting, where fabric is broken down into something new, I highlight garments as they are—removing them from their original context but letting their essence remain. The result? Art that brings warmth, depth, and a damn good conversation starter to any space.
Sustainability isn’t a trend; it’s my driving force. Everything I use already exists, rescued from landfills or the back of someone’s closet. Waste isn’t waste—it’s just untapped beauty waiting for a new purpose.
Originally from the Netherlands, I spent years working in the fashion industry across Beijing and beyond before landing in Singapore. My love for clothes, quality, and the stories they hold is at the core of my work—blurring the line between fashion, art, and sustainability.
