Biekindle Art commission

Turning your most meaningful fabrics into heirloom art.
Each Biekindle artworks carries a story — of family, of milestones, of love.
Memory is the diary we all carry about with us

I create customized artworks from clothing memories

Biekindle began with a favorite T-shirt from Tokyo, worn to threads but impossible to let go of. Later, as a new mother, I stitched my firstborn’s stained outfit into a piece of art. These were the seeds: celebrating design, memory, and the beauty of keeping what matters.

Every commission is slow, circular, and deeply personal.

A Biekindle is not décor—it’s a keepsake that holds the whispers of the fabrics you once wore.

Maybe you’ve kept something in a box, unsure what to do with it:
– Your baby’s first outfit
– Clothes bought in anticipation of a birth
– A beloved parent’s nightgown
– Jeans that carried you across the world

I transform these garments into heirlooms—artworks that carry memory, love, and life into the present.

Life is a collection of moments

FAQ's

I handle your sentimental items with the utmost care. Understanding the stories, memories, and meaning behind them is essential to my artistic process. I also make sure to use the right needle and thread to preserve the fabric while bringing your piece to life.

I also make textile mobiles and sculptures. And any other items or objects can be discussed. I am very open to ideas to include these clothing memories into your daily life!

We can meet face-to-face in Singapore or over zoom. You can make an appointment by using this link or via any of the buttons on this page.

That is not a problem! It’s all related to the story you want to tell and how it’s connected to your memories. If requested, I can remove most stains and repair minor damage, or it can be used as is when it’s part of a story!

I work solely with natural fabrics or blends where most material contains natural fibres, as these fabrics have the best structure. But I am open to discussing your needs because the synthetic yarns from 50 years ago are not the same as those we use today, and it might be possible for me to work with them.

Once your piece is finished, I’ll apply a protective layer to help repel moisture and dust. I recommend reapplying this treatment every year or so—especially in humid Singapore. Additionally, you can easily dust the surface with a roller from time to time (which I’ll provide for you). I’ve had a few of these pieces in my own home for about two years now, and honestly, I haven’t encountered any issues so far.

Absolutely! We can chat about the best option for you. Some clients have carried their artwork home themselves, and in one case we shipped it un-stretched so it could be framed in their own country. We’ll find the solution that works best.
