Artist Statement
I don’t just see fabric; I see history.
I create one-of-a-kind textile artworks and re:made garments from materials that already exist—shaped by over 20 years in fashion design and a lifelong devotion to sustainability.
Clothes hold stories. They’ve been worn, lived in, loved (or forgotten), stitched by human hands, and made from resources that deserve respect. My practice gives those stories a second life: turning sentimental garments, vintage textiles, and even old fashion magazines into heirlooms that carry memory and meaning.
I spent over a decade designing denim and womenswear for international houses such as Haider Ackermann, Diesel, and G-Star before founding Biekaleidoscope in Singapore. Today my work merges that design expertise with the patience of slow craft: every stitch is intentional, every piece unique. Each work adds warmth, texture, and a damn good conversation starter to any space.
Sustainability isn’t a trend; it’s my driving force. Everything I use already exists, rescued from landfills or the back of someone’s closet. By reworking what’s already here, I show that waste isn’t waste—it’s just untapped beauty waiting for a new purpose.
